The Angermaier Trachten Night on 10.09. was the glamorous Oktoberfest kick-off.
Around 800 enthusiastic guests celebrated in the old congress hall, just a few steps away from the Theresienwiese, until the early hours of the morning.

The celebrity guests included stars such as Bavarian-born Barbara Meier, winner of the second Germany´s Next Topmodel season, model and presenter Alena Gerber, pop star Jürgen Drews, who came along with his wife Ramona and daughter Joalina, the current Bachelorette Stella Stegmann and other well-known faces such as model and DJ Giulia Siegel.
The evening kicked off with the Flying Pole Duo Luc, who performed breathtaking acrobatics on a floating dance pole in hot traditional costumes, providing an additional highlight. The spectacular Angermaier fashion show was the centerpiece of the Trachtennacht, which included a dynamic breakdance interlude by the DDC (Dancefloor Destruction Crew), which presented the Oktoberfest trends in a brilliant dance. The third Greenline Capsule Collection, which was created in
collaboration with model Barbara Meier, and the latest traditional costume collection from cult label Distorted People were also on show. The Angermaier family was particularly proud of the exclusive collection created in cooperation with the Oktoberfest Munich - a limited selection of dirndls and vests. This unique partnership makes Angermaier the first official fashion partner of the Oktoberfest
to create and manufacture specially designed traditional costumes.
“Angermaier and Munich belong together for me, like the dirndl belongs to the Oktoberfest. When I moved to Munich, I had my very first photo shoot with Axel, and as an 18-year-old I fell in love with traditional costume through Angermaier and this love continues to this day,” says model Alena
Gerber.
The current Bachelorette Stella Stegmann is also enthusiastic about the dirndls of the traditional costume manufacturer and raves in the highest tones: “Five years ago I was at an Angermaier Trachtennacht for the first time and a lot has happened since then, but I always like to remember the time back then and Angermaier is still my favorite dirndl brand - I always feel super comfortable and
sexy in it”.
Pop star Jürgen Drews was clearly looking forward to the Oktoberfest as he tapped the first barrel of Wiesn beer to great applause: “We've just moved to Munich and I'm really looking forward to visiting the Oktoberfest with my daughter Joelina.”
The eagerly awaited final of Germany's largest Dirndl casting, for which over 630 participants from all over Germany had previously applied, also provided some special moments. The Bachhauser Blasmusik provided the perfect Oktoberfest atmosphere with their rousing music and the Oktoberfest band Ois Easy really heated things up at the after-party. Another highlight of the evening was the
performance by Iggi Kelly, who comes from the most famous family of musicians in Germany and is the son of Patrcia Kelly. The Kelly offspring enchanted the audience with his latest songs.
There was also a good cause: a large roulette table invited guests to buy chips, the proceeds of which were donated in full to the Attl Foundation, which supports people with disabilities, and to the TUM Surgery Foundation of the Technical University of Munich, which supports research and teaching in the field of surgery.
