Die Trachten Nacht 2025

With a spirited "O’zapft is!" from cabaret artist Jürgen Kirner, Munich's hottest pre-Oktoberfest party began on Tuesday evening. The anticipation for the Oktoberfest was palpable, and celebrations were well underway even before the official start at the Theresienwiese. The Alte Kongresshalle, just a stone's throw from the Theresienwiese, transformed into a glamorous stage full of tradition, lifestyle, and prominent guests. 

The unique mix of exuberant atmosphere, glamorous guests, and Bavarian traditions makes the Angermaier Trachten Nacht an absolute must-attend event year after year, building boundless anticipation for the Oktoberfest. In true Wiesn style, around 600 guests toasted with freshly tapped Augustiner beer, enjoyed Bavarian delicacies, and got into a celebratory mood early on with the Bavarian Bachhauser Blasmusik and later the Wiesn band Ois Easy. People danced and laughed exuberantly into the early morning hours – side by side with Trachten icon Dr. Axel Munz and his daughter Nina. 

Among the guests shone a top-tier star lineup: schlager legend Jürgen Drews appeared alongside his wife Ramona. Both were more than proud as their charming daughter Joelina, together with Lucas Cordalis and Achim Petry, thrilled the audience with their singing performance. Also on-site were GNTM winner Barbara Meier, actress Mariella Ahrens, and DJane Giulia Siegel. The prominent line-up was rounded out by actors Nele Kiper, Michael Kranz, Mercedes Müller, and Debby Müller. They all ensured plenty of glamour and flashing cameras. Thus, the night became not only a tribute to Bavarian tradition, but also a glamorous society highlight. 

A laser act and the impressive performance of the DDC breakers provided a spectacular start to the evening, captivating the audience from the very beginning with breathtaking energy and dance skills. This set the stage for the centerpiece of the Angermaier Trachten Nacht: the grand Wiesn trend fashion show, which showcased the latest styles for the Oktoberfest in a dynamic, modern, and engaging dance performance. A special highlight was the finale of Germany's largest Dirndl casting. The three winners presented themselves in festive traditional costume before a large audience: Sophia Koch took third place, Antonia Schmidt second, and the victory went to Layla Beutler, who enchanted the audience with her appearance. Alongside fashion and the casting, various other program points provided variety and entertainment: guests tried their luck at "Roulette in Trachten," while hair and makeup stations, bag charm stations, cosmetics, and more were available. Olympians Felix Loch and Denise Schindler impressed with traditional outfits created by Angermaier specifically for the Olympic bid. Afterward, the cult Wiesn band Ois Easy heated things up for the afterparty, turning the evening into an unforgettable celebration late into the night. Presenter Angela Ascher guided through the program with charm and humor, rounding off the evening perfectly with her entertaining style.
